J.K. Simmons has been cast as Gotham City’s true hero ‘Commissioner Jim Gordon’ in Warner Bros highly anticipated superhero ensemble Justice League. You may remember Simmons from roles such as Juno, Whiplash (for which he won an Academy Award) or Spiderman (2002) where he played our favourite abrasive editor-in-chief, Jonah Jameson. It’s going to be hard to let go of Gary Oldman’s portrayal of the character, but we think it’s safe to have the utmost confidence in J.K and hey, at least we know he can pull off a moustache.
Justice League, which will be directed by Zack Snyder and comprises DC favorites Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) teaming up to battle a threat beyond each of our beloved heroes capabilities.
Producer heavy weight Charles Roven (The Dark Knight, American Hustle) teams up with Deborah Snyder (300, Watchmen), who is the producing partner and wife of director, Zack Snyder.
Chris Terrio who wrote the award winning screenplay for Argo has also written the screenplay for Justice League and is being released in two parts by Warner Bros in 2017 and 2019.
